Back to School and Giveaway!!

Can you believe it is that time of year again. I love the excitement of going back to school. The new backpacks, new sneakers, the haircuts, the easy wake-ups and huge smiles when seeing friends. But I do long for the warmth of summer, the days at the pool. I wish we could have just a few more weeks. But since we can't, why dwell on it..right?

I love to get involved in my kids school. In fact, this is my 2nd year on the PTA. And I love everything about it. I wish I could do more, but I do have a full time job therefore I can't be there for every event and every volunteer opportunity. But I definitely do my part. One of the things I do religiously is collect Box Tops. Have you heard of them? Do you collect them? It is free money for your child or grandchild's school. When you buy products with those little Box Top coupons on them, just cut them off and save them. I keep a baggie on my counter and as soon as I can cut them off, in they go and as the baggie gets full, I just send them into the school and voila - free $$$.

Recently I learned that Totino's - will be giving over 1 million bonus box tops this year and they are holding a sweepstakes - the Box Tops for Education Sweepstakes - where 2 schools would win 250,000 box tops (that works out to $25,000 - holy smokes that is a ton of money). We are huge Totono's fans. Every week I buy Pizza Rolls and most weeks I add a party pizza to that. The Pizza Rolls are our go-to after school snack, especially when we have to run off to soccer or baseball or swimming...or whatever scheduled event is that day. They are fast to make and I think better than the cookies and candy my kids want to grab instead. This week when I was buying my weekly Pizza Rolls - I noticed that there were double box tops on a lot of the packages. SCORE! And since this was a week where I was stocking up on the Totino's Party Pizza's - I saw they also had the double box tops as well. I was so excited.
